We’re petty and are lawyering up.

Sent our HOA a request to allow us to install a trellis in our front yard, which they denied. No clear logical reason why, just no. On the flip side they’ve approved countless other homes for turf, water features, large signage, etc.

My wife and I are going to drive around the neighborhood and document all these, ask “Why is this ok, but not our trellis?” and send everything to a lawyer.

If we’re going down, they’re all going down. (Most of the homes with these additional features are board members homes).

Update (4/14) : For those who care. Haven’t heard back from the HOA board since I brought up seeking legal counsel. Have an initial consultation this coming Monday.
