My experience, Transcript Panel 6 and Tips for upcoming interviews.
The call letter said the interview will occur between 9-10 and to be there at the university atleast half an hour before ie at 8.30 but i would recommend you to only come at 9 (basically dont rush to come before time) as there is no plus for coming early and they call everyone in the order they arrived to the hall not the registration number or something. You can bring both parents but one has to wait at the waiting lounge (library, ground floor of cfc block) while the other can be accomadated with you. After you reach the hall (first floor of cdc block) where the the interview occurs you will be called to verify your documents and you will be seated near the room of your panel until your turn arrives.
Now for the Transcript. (for me 2/2 female panel member (f1,f2))
f1: Whats your name?
me: Says my name
f2: so this is your name?
me: sure
f1: no thats not his name lets just call him "my name"
f2: so tell us about your self, "my name"
me: gave the prepared answer: My name is "my name", i am 19 years old. I finished my higher secondary education from "my school name", as a student i have always been very intrested in maths and problem solving. I choose cys because the field is a every evolving ground for critikal thinking and quick problem analysys so i think it aligns well with my intrests. Apart from academics, i have won 2 gold medals in a state level arm wrestling competition in 2024 and in my free time i like to go for a walk to relax and refresh my mind.
f1: whats arm wrestling, is the one from dangal?
me: no mam (laughinly), we only use the hands unlike usual wreslting where its a brawl with the whole body
f1: ohhh so you fight like this right? (shows arm wrestling position of hand)
me: yes mam
f1: how did you get into this sport?
me: when i used to go to the gym, a police man who is a friend of the gym's owner used to visit the place regularly. One day i saw him training for this and i asked about it. He gave me a little bit of training there and then invited me to another gym where he trains people for this sport, he was in tn police team for arm wrestling. thats how i got into this sport.
f1: this is very safe right? (laughingly)
me: no mam, this is a sport like every other with the intent to win, we will never know what kind of techniques the opponent may use and when not defended right, the hand will definitely break. During my time in the coaching they teach us to play safe rather than to win.
f2: do you have offers from any other instiutes?
me: i have other oppurtunities from vit and amritha
f2: have you got your vit rank?
me: yes mam, says my rank
f2: what is your jee percentile
me: maths 96, phy 90 overal 85 (didnt say chem cause its shit like 40)
f2: just say overall

f1: are you sure? you got 42 in chemistry?
me: yes mam
f2: are you sure, why?
me: yes mam, the faculty in my coaching was not that good
f1: why so low at boards?
me: realises they asked last year board marks, oh sorry mam i think i miss understood. what i said was the jee percentile, shows my grade 12 mark sheet.
f2: notes my marks for mpc (82,76,72)

Tips for upcoming interviews
(more details and tips in the comments by others)
- if you are a dropper mention it before to avoid embarssing situation like this
- give them some content for them to ask about in about yourself so that they dont ask the default questions like how is ai helping us or something which we need to think and answer. its better to be asekd something about yourself or an experience you had as its so much easier to think the answer for and answer
- "tell me about yourself" is a question everyone gets so prepare well for it and from reading this subreddit i have collected that these questions have also been asked in addition, so maybe prepare these or something related to these too
