2019 subaru legacy 2.5l
So im at 170k miles on my subie, my buddys say maintain it and boost it, but iv been looking, i have the fully loaded limited package, why not blow er up and just get a 3.6l to swap it out with? What would yall do?
Also FYI
at 170kmiles obv well driven, and im not the most gentle on cars. New too me ish, but it was a action passed around car. But heres what a almost 200k miles seems to be pointing to with id say slightly above average wear and tear.
What is a legacy? Subaru's camry? Sure tf seems like it.
160k breaks needed replaced, rotors warped, swapped them for carbon fiber drilled slotted kit.
Rear shocks need replaced.
Passenger window sometimes slightly falls out of track making you have to roll the window up a little slower.
Front windshield is now Bluetooth, so if you ever need to exit the car, and you forgot your keys to your push start car, just simply push the front windshield out and find your keys so you can use the door next time.
HOOD LATCH issues. Wish you all the best of luck 80mph+ songs much body panel gap that shit wants to take flight.
BODY PANEL GAP ISSUES. So much air enters the body panel gaps in the front end, at higher speeds air is quite literaly forcefully pushed inside the cab.
Delamination of entertainment console, but DIY fixable if headunit is removed.
Harmon kardon amplifier glitches accasionaly on potholes in colder weather needing a hard reset to get audio working again.
Slight "lifter" noise. Might need bucket and wedge adjusted.
Relatively obnoxious engine mount boxer shake in steering wheel when warm.
Subaru zero temps the car does not warm up fast at all.
And a steering clunk when wheel is fully turned and locked up, but only when you turn the wheel to fast, like a pack and pinion smack, is the only way I could describe it.
But loving it soo far!
Im also told the white smoke when your holding it at the 4k rev limiter for like 30-60 seconds is normal and probably just condensation 😅😇
