So to preface, I’m in Tasmania Australia (for context on wasp species identification?) and moved into a new house in the city in November 2025.
Every single day since, a wasp has come and hung around the sliding door and slamming into the glass in between 2-4 pm. EVERY DAY.

We had one wasp come in one time and my partner dealt with it (TW maybe but I’m assuming he 💀ed it) and I understand they come to investigate and such but the behaviour is so so so weird to me. I heard they can recognise faces and I’m so confused bc I haven’t done anything to them. This sounds so silly but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas/ suggestions or information they could share with me that might enlighten me or help me.
