What we’re seeing from some of these signings - the ability to having cost control is so important otherwise you’re overpaying in some cases.
Hindsight is 20/20 but maybe the 🗽 should have kept that #7 pick. That spot could have been Morrow or anyone else that dropped below 7.
We can debate about Nyara’s injuries as well, but her contract was 437k.
Expansion might have taken her anyway. But again 20/20
If we had a Time Machine:
Sign JJ year to year. She already burned through her cores, we could have saved BOTH KT & Nyara in the 2025 expansion draft
Wouldn’t have panicked when 🐝went down & traded away that #7 draft pick
Anyway…
I’m not sure where my fellow 🗽 fans are at, but the foundation here still works.
Getting BLH back healthy and reintegrated matters and this group hasn’t really had a full, balanced run together since the 2024 playoffs.
This isn’t about overhauling. It’s about refining.
Add one real impact piece (Alanna, Gabby etc)
Tap into some unsigned player - maybe they’re out of the league, training camp drops.
Get younger.
Build around what’s already working.
More shooting. Better spacing. Smarter lineup balance.
Put this team in position to be even more efficient and harder to guard.
I’m going to ‘trust the process’ 🤞🏼
