Inspired by feedback project for portable 2sided tileset map prototype. What do you think could be usable?
Figuring out portable voids
A friend and I recently started testing Sorcery, and I literally fell in love with the game at first sight and play! As the "court alchemist," I immediately began crafting my own mats and brainstorming ways to upgrade the original board.
While the official mat is great, we felt the squares were a bit too small for our liking. I’ve also been thinking about better storage and easy customization for "personal" Voids.
Today, I tested the idea of using 80x120 mm cards as Voids, and it worked incredibly well!
There was plenty of room, and it made sliding submerged or burrowed units under the card super easy.
For my next test, I want to use Tarot cards (and their reverses) as the Voids.
What do you think about using different themed card sets as dedicated Voids, where you and your opponent build the entire realm using two different styles? This approach seems very "friendly" if you wanted to create custom maps like 2 lanes with nothing in the middle layouts or even a story driven Dungeon Mode / Campaign mode
Anyway, we’re having a blast with the game! I’m curious if anyone else has tried something similar?
