What happened to down shifting?
I was out on the bike today and I could smell the truckers brakes before I saw him. When I caught up with him I watched as he sat on is breaks for at least a minute and went down a hill. No jake, no down shifts.
He was lucky to this was a relatively short hill, at least for the Rocky Mountains.
Teton pass was the next pass coming up and I sure hope he turned off before then. But if anybody sees any news reports of a truck rolled on Teton Pass, I can tell you who did it.
(For those unfamiliar Teton pass is an 10% grade on both sides. And is just one turn into another. Jusy take the very worst bit of Wolf Creek Pass and make that the whole pass.)
