pan-Polynesian?

There are many pan-Romance and pan-Germanic and pan-Slavic projects. How about pan-Polynesian? Such a language might be welcomed as an alternative to imperial languages (English, French) and their pidgins.

The shortest time anyone held a British peerage was a nominal instant (second Baron Stamp, 1941) or, other than that legal fiction, about an hour (third Duke of Suffolk, 1551).

But what was the shortest existence of a peerage? There must be some that went extinct within a year of creation.
