Going to try wet footing it. I was debating between some socks with some trail running shoes, but after loads of research I’m going with some lightweight boots that are hopefully quick drying (as far as boots can be) paired with some Darn Tough wool socks. I’ve read some portage reports (thanks Paddle Planner) and some have “boot sucking mud” which made me decide on these. Made by Nortiv 8. Cheaper($70 w/shipping) I wanted something TIED to my foot and tied well. I’m also carrying a pair of crocs with me should it be warm enough and I wanted something TIED out of wet feet. Also a pair of camp shoes. That’s three total pairs. I’m sure I’m WAY over doing it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

What’s on your feet in Early June??

EDIT: I am taking feedback into consideration. Specifically the comment about perhaps retaining too much water being a weather resistant boot. After some thought, I think I will drill smaller holes into the soles (boots have removable insoles) and perhaps melt some relief points in the Cordura nylon. Not terribly expensive so I’ll see what can be done.

Edit #2: Provided water temps first week of June, adding neoprene socks.
