Hertz + AAA: Complete waste of time? (Young driver 20m)
I've seen multiple posts talking about how AAA + Hertz can save $20-30 per day by voiding the young drivers fee. I am planning a multi-day trip from NYC to the Catskills, and after subscribing to AAA I get a grand savings of...$7 PER DAY! Feels extremely insignificant and this is lowkey making me want to rip my hair out with how overly expensive car rentals are for <25 drivers.
Anyone have any tips on alternative solutions (checked Turo, not much better tbh) or local companies in the NYC area that rent to 20 (not 21) year olds? Shouldn't be this hard to want to enjoy some nature for a few days.
