I just bought a Tikka T1X MTR 22LR. I want to begin getting familiar with it before the season begins here.

Two questions:

1. Is there a risk of the firing pin breaking if I dry fire it ?

2. Snap caps: any advise on the better ones for the T1X ? There are different brands and material (aluminum and plastic).
