Not my content, but probably interesting to many of us hanging peeps. Thick cheap military wool blankets probably decently warm since layered, and the bottom layer isn’t compressed.

I wonder whether a compact UL version made from Amsteel and a cheap light breathable textile like tyvek would be compelling, boosted with a reflectix sandwich filling, trekking poles with special harnesses as spreaders. The slipperiness of materials could be offset with more overlap and maybe some alligator clips. And of course, no rope against the tree.
