Traditional ploughing is done using a wooden 'Haal' which is pulled with the help of Cattle. This method is very common in the hilly regions as it is difficult to bring machinery to remote regions and step farming fields.
The benefits of Traditional ploughing include-
Better soil aeration and water holding capacity.
Less pebbles/stones are brought to the surface of the field.
Crops are more weather resilient than machinery induced ploughing.
No dependence on machinery and supports sustainable practices in farming.
Easier to transport in remote fields.
