Hi all, so I got a basic POST certificate from another academy but ended up not passing FTO in my 5th phase at a city department. If I apply for LAPD and get hired, do I go through their own version of an academy? I saw mention of a 16 week version and a 12 week version but not sure if those existed and if they were different? Thanks for any insight into the matter.

Edit: I should have mentioned, I specifically am interested in LAXPD, but saw they required the same academy as LAPD.
