I just wanted to write out something for the conclusion of Takanaka's world tour.
It's been absolutely incredible seeing the explosion of joy on people's faces to his music, along with some lovely photos and videos of the different venues around this tour.
A massive thank you to his band members who performed incredibly, in which I'm going to name them in full, as they deserve all of their credit throughout these past few weeks!
Bass: Akira Okazawa
Drums: Masahiro Miyazaki
Guitar: I think you might already know!
Keyboards: Rina Kohmoto & Kaoru Inoue (keytar)
Percussion: Nobu Saito
Vocals: Amazons! Featuring two of the vocalists - Kumi Saito and Yuko Ohtaki. Yoshikawa Tomoko unfortunately has some physical condition pain and couldn't join in on the world tour, wishing her the best in recovery!
I personally attended his London performance in Brixton on the 31st of March - the one that kick started this world tour off! To the people I met in the queue; the folks I spoke briefly in the concert hall before and after the show; and the wonderful folks at the Papaya After Party who I got quite deep into conversation with into the wee hours of the morning: thank you so much. I haven't been in a community like this before during my time on the internet, and I'll be honest, I feel very sentimental about it. Still riding that (insatiable) concert high. Being able to engage with fans in person about Takanaka's music is still very surreal to me.
I want to finish by giving a massive shout-out to Takanaka's crew/staff members who set all of these up behind the scenes. The logistics of it all, I can't even comprehend. Especially dealing with customs with that OG 2004 surfboard guitar!
And finally to the staff members at the different venues, thank you for your hard work! A lot of the things they done to help keep the crowd as is went unnoticed in my opinion. I had a funny interaction with one of the staff members where they jokingly offered me a job for handing water to folks behind me.
Please share your own thoughts/experiences/stories in the replies about the world tour!
Hi all! Welcome to the final megathread for the World Tour.
This is for the New Zealand Auckland Town Hall Concert where you can discuss all things about the concerts; sharing images; setlists; questions; meeting up with fellow fans; buying a pallet of papayas etc...
Please follow general concert etiquette!
