When discussing a memoir should you avoid “spoilers”?

I started a youtube channel where i just discuss books because i dont have anyone to talk about books with so i just yap at the camera for 10 minutes. I read I’m Glad My Mom Died and tagged it as a spoiler review and someone commented and said “spoilers for a memoir?” And it got me thinking. I dont typically read memoirs, so I dont know the etiquette for discussing them.

Is Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America still worth the read? Is it still relevant today?

I just picked up a copy of this book at a thrift store for $2. Figured $2 couldnt hurt, but i’m wondering where it should land on my reading list and if I should prioritize it. It was written almost 30 years ago so I don’t know how relevant is today or how dated it is. Any thoughts?
