Hmp in bro in laws name advice
weird question, a friend of mine got arrested in a mates house ( fell asleep in mates house and woke up to find out he had been evicted and technically he was trespassing and the room was a mess so said he was trying to steal stuff) so he's brought to the station, he had warrants for drunk and disorderly or something small so gave his friends name who he thought was never in trouble, they are both from Ireland, so the lad in uk that's been arrested gave his bro in laws details thinking it will be sweet, what are the chances he was arrested for trespassing and burglary 12 years ago, 🤣 so they took prints pictures and brought to court and remanded to hmp Winson green, did 2 months in his name, charges were dropped and released given prison id in the different name, brought to hospital and seen by doctors . now once released he moved back to Ireland, he was meant to do probation and community service or back to jail.
so basically the bro in law is mad worried he will get arrested because of the warrant. I'm guessing yes?
now the funny bit is originally in the interview room he said on video that's not my real name this is. they didn't believe him and charged him
any ideas how to handle the situation?
and if there is any sort of compensation for false improvement because he did nothing the should have done the due diligence.
I mean the guy that gave the false name already had his prints on file they could have easily done another check? or what kind of crap system do they have if they have a fingerprint scanner that when they added his fingerprints a pop-up or something saying fingerprints already on file or something? they should have ran his prints to verify his ID not add his prints to a different person and send them to jail
