Has anyone felt like tirzepatide changed their personality, not just their weight?
I started tirzepatide (Zepbound) a few months ago mainly for weight loss, and honestly the results have been great physically — appetite is down, weight is dropping, and “food noise” is almost gone.
But something weird is happening that I didn’t expect…
I feel like I’m not fully myself anymore.
- I don’t crave food, but I also don’t feel excitement about things I used to enjoy
- My mood feels more “flat” — not sad, just… neutral all the time
- Social situations feel different, like I’m less emotionally reactive
- Even motivation feels different — more controlled but less passionate
I’ve seen people talk about nausea, fatigue, etc., but not much about mental or personality changes.
I did find one or two mentions about emotional blunting, but it’s not widely discussed.
So I’m curious:
👉 Has anyone else experienced this?
👉 Does it go away over time or is this just part of how the drug works?
👉 Is this a trade-off for appetite control?
Would really appreciate honest experiences — good or bad.
