I love that MCR fans are everywhere!!!!
I went to a relatively small artists' market today (not a nerd/hobby themed one either) and one of the first tables I stopped at had buttons of nurse Gerard. There was another table selling a western-themed Thank You for the Venom print and that artist was friends w the artist I bought a western-themed Hang Em High poster from a few months ago. The last market/convention I went to there was an artist passing out clown Clerk stickers who also had Gerard stickers under the table for people who talked to them about MCR. I'm in grad school and every time I mention MCR in one of my classes there is without fail another fan in the class (I even did a presentation a few weeks ago that included some of my streaming stats, only to realize when I sat back down that the person next to me was wearing a Black Parade sweatshirt). And one of the things that made me happiest was that about a week after they passed through my city last fall, I went on a walk with my roommates and no less than 3 people stopped to compliment my tour shirt, including someone whose friend was wearing a Pool Boy at the Vampire Mansion shirt. I'm just so happy that it feels like everywhere I go fellow MCR fans just pop out of the woodwork, especially considering how uncool it was to like them in their prime. We made it to the era where we're everywhere and always pointing out that we understand each others' references!!!
