Samsung Care+ Galaxy Ring Return without case?

Hi all, finally got my replacement for my ring due to the battery issue.

I was looking here and someone advised that for returns the charger case is needed. But reviewing the device return instruction, #7 says "do not send any accessories with your device" ?

So wouldn't the case be considered an accessory?
