Moto Bitcoin wallet
Moto Wallet. This brand exploration is for a Bitcoin wallet named after Satoshi Nakamoto. It’s a no frills, minimal Bitcoin wallet for everyday transactions that is hosted on-chain (ie doesn’t rely on traditional hosting like AWS or similar services to operate). The brand is meant to appeal to Bitcoin maxis who want reliability and maybe relate to rhe hacker / punk culture associated with the rejection traditional finance platforms.
Focusing on the “block” in blockchain, I wanted each letter in the logo to be a perfect square. I spent a lot of time making the math, math so that everything worked in a square, ie focus on spaces between the “m” lines and “o” line weights.
I also wanted the “m” to feel brutalist while also minimal and abstract. Although basic in form, the vertical lines are meant to convey strong columns of an institution.
The “t” was one that I tinkered with the most. I ended up going toward Swiss flag vibes since I liked how it worked vertically and horizontally and created more balance across the logo.
The logo is just 1’s and 0’s, as is all digital currency.
