Is there any point of IPL from last few seasons?
Am I the only one who is not interested in this mockery of cricket? Feels like 200 is the new 150 160. There is no contest left between bat and ball.
That is okay if you want to play aggressive brand of cricket, teams individually can decide their strategy but playing on such wickets is hurting Indian cricket.
I don't have any problem with such wickets in international games because both teams have their top players competing against each other which somewhat neutralize the pitch factor. But IPL is kind of training ground of Indian cricket, how these youngsters who is going to represent India will play in conditions like we faced in West Indies and USA 2024 T20 WC because in international cricket anything can happen.
Avg score for first innings this season is 190+ which is insane.
We all are seeing star youngsters (batsmen) coming out in last few years like Abhishek sharma, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Ayush Mhatre, Priyansh Arya, etc etc. What about bowlers. Are we seeing any start youngsters bowlers. I think not, because we haven't left any space for them to compete. This is one of the main reasons we are seeing quality bowlers deficiency in Indian cricket because quality is there but we are not giving them fair ground to showcase it.
