If You Stop Mid-Set with Enough ELO to Rank Up to Legend when Next Season Starts, do you get the Legend Badge?
I have a question about a niche mechanic: during a previous GBL season change (season 21-22), I stopped mid-set in the season 21, got rewards to start season 22, and saw my “last season” ELO change (e.g. after the last full set in Season 21 I was at ~3010 and due to my mid-set record my “last season” ELO in the season 22 changed to ~2975).
My question is that I have the Expert badge now at 2994 ELO. If I win 1 game to push me to 3K ELO and stop playing mid-set for the rest of this season, when Season 27 comes do I get the Legend badge and rewards once the ELO change triggers upon claiming S26 rewards? Or must I finish a full set to trigger the rank-up screen to Legend specifically during Season 26 to get the badge and rewards?
I know this is super niche and my description might be confusing, but I’m legitimately curious how the mechanics work in this scenario. Anyone know what happens? Let me know if you need me to clarify anything. Thanks!
