Tucson Misfires on Cylinders 3 & 4 After Engine Replacement
2017 Tucson Midnight edition with 94k miles. The engine was cooked due to oil burning and running low for too long too many times. I got it replaced with a 2018 engine with 74k miles on it. About a month afterwards I got a check engine light and misfiring when accelerating hard. I had it scanned and it showed misfires on cylinders 3 and 4. I removed the spark plugs and the number 4 was wet and rusted. I replaced the spark plugs and removed all the moisture by taking the plug out a few more times over the next week and wiping it off each time. The misfires got a bit better and I tested by moving coils from 3 and 4 to 1 and 2. Misfires continued but improved. I got the codes scanned again but it's still showing on 3 and 4. is it worth replacing the coils before going further? Any suggestions are appreciated.
