Hello, FXR lovers.

I'm selling my 1982 FXR. I fully rebuilt it in 2018:

- Everything is powder coated: frame, swingarm, oil tank, fenders, fuel tank

- 2006 Sportster front end

- Lots of goodies: swingarm bearings, hydraulic Sifton diaphragm clutch, spoke wheels, S&S carb, o-ring chain. It even has the seat hinge and latch

- Fully muffled custom exhaust by Paucho

-------

Nothing is wrong with it. I've ridden it all over AZ, NM, and CO from Yuma to Leadville.

I'm just getting old and no interest in riding her anymore. Time for a new person to ride her, and I'm willing to sell it cheap to a good home. I'll miss her, but I have thousands of miles of memories.

I used to have a motorcycle shop and rental business, and it zapped my lifelong love of bikes. Now she sits except for monthly rides that feel obligatory. This was my personal ride--the last on a long list of rubber-mounted shovelheads that I have rebuilt and ridden the country on. I never rented her except for it was in a Japanese clothing catalog and commercial.

-------

The bad:

- a tiny ding in the tank

- clutch drags. Probably an air bubble, but I've ridden her for thousands of miles not caring about it

- factory fuel gauge doesn't work

Things you may not like:

- Metric master cylinders (Honda but not branded)

- no gauges--it looks cleaner that way

------

Ready to ride now. Comes with:

--a brand new Dunlop 404 front tire for next season

--cover (always been stored inside under a cover)

--S&S jets that will take you from sea level to 10k feet

--factory pillow seat (rider only) in perfect condition

--miscellaneous spare gaskets and such

--3 gallons of 60 weight oil (used during my hot desert rides, but she has fresh 20-50 in her now)

--------

$5k is an EXCELLENT price. Don't ask for less, because I'd rather park it in my living room as art and let my daughters sell it at auction once I croak than sell it for a penny less.

Will work with any shipper, or you can ride it away from my home just off I-25 midway between Albuquerque and El Paso
