This is my first time growing jalapeños and though i’m excited there are 2 peppers that seem to be growing well, I’ve noticed every other bud gets to the size shown then drops off dead. I’ve also noticed a few of the leaves looking rough like they’ve been sun torched or eaten by bugs. What am I doing wrong?

For reference I live in Florida, right on the border of zone 9b/10a!
