Hey everyone,

We're planning to hike the TMB in late August / early September, which we realized overlaps with UTMB week. We’ll be carrying a tent and aiming to stay mostly at official campsites rather than refuges.

We're trying to keep the trip flexible (not booking everything in advance), but I’m a bit unsure how realistic that is during that specific time.

For those who’ve done it around UTMB, how busy do campsites actually get? Is it generally possible to just show up and find a spot for 3-people tent?

We don’t mind it being lively, but we’d prefer to avoid situations where we’re scrambling for a place to sleep at the end of the day.

Any firsthand experiences or tips would be hugely appreciated!
