Affordable Alternatives to Trains and Buses for Solo Travel in Andalusia?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning a solo trip around Andalusia (Seville, Córdoba, Granada, etc.), and I’ve noticed that some train and bus tickets between cities can be surprisingly expensive, especially when traveling alone.

Since renting a car isn’t very practical for me as a solo traveler, I was wondering if there are any cheaper local transportation alternatives.

Are there options similar to shared minibuses, local shuttles, ride-sharing, or other budget-friendly ways that locals use to travel between cities in Andalusia?

I’d really appreciate any suggestions for affordable transportation between Andalusian cities.

Thanks!

Hey,

I’ll be in Granada around the 20th of May and I couldn’t get tickets for Alhambra.

I’ve heard people say that last-minute tickets (like 1–2 days before or even same day) sometimes appear due to cancellations, especially around midnight.

Has anyone here actually managed to get tickets this way?

If yes:

What exact time did you check?

Any tricks that actually worked (not just “keep checking”)?

Trying to understand if this is realistically doable or just luck.

Thanks!
