Some face studies from my sketchbook, and questions

These are earlier pages in my sketchbook from March/April! ... I think my skills as a photocopier are really coming along but I hope one day to gain sentience and actually draw something original pls help??

What I mean is I'm still learning how to draw real life people but eventually I want to learn how to stylize and design characters from imagination, any advice?

Also where do you guys find references? There's so much AI on Pinterest, and sometimes it's hard to tell if it's AI. Also hard to find good quality dynamic poses or expressive faces.

My evil villain mountain lair

I think of it as a fortified bunker built into the side of a mountain, but for a fancy supervillain so it also has to be modern and sleek. (Although it's more of a hill, because I ran out of tiles to build it lol.)

I was inspired by this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/TerrariaDesign/s/PqU8AcQ9v8

The (second) start of my art journey...

Originally I wanted to learn digital art. Over a year ago I started experimenting with Procreate and downloaded a bunch of custom brushes and found some artists I liked and tried to study their different art styles and watched many many youtube tutorials and A A A A A H H H I got so overwhelmed!! To this day, I still haven't figured out what brushes to use.

So then back in March I decided to just buy a sketchbook and some pencils and start sketching! Before then I hadn't touched an actual pencil in years, lol. These are some pages from the first two-ish weeks.
