I think a Days Gone TV Series starring Sam Witwer is exactly what this franchise needs to get a sequel green lit. Similar to the Fallout Tv show the series could draw new players in and bring back long time players of the game. If it is successful enough maybe Sony would consider making a sequel.
HBO has the Last of Us and I think Amazon could make a good competitor to that show with the right creative direction. A tv series done well could give the franchise more attention and the respect it deserves. Sam Witwer is very passionate about his projects and usually steers them in the right direction.
