Round house kick help

I know it’s wrong. It looks awful and feels awful.

I’m only 7 weeks in 28 lessons total with 2 additional private lessons but I’m not understanding the kicking at all. It’s like my body refuses to move like it should.

Anyone have any other ideas? I’ve been doing daily hip mobility exercises but hasn’t helped much. I come from weightlifting so I’ve never been flexible or had much movement.
