I just got tenured at an elementary school. But next year they are moving me to the high school where I will also be teaching a class in a foreign language I haven’t taught in over a decade. I have no high school teaching experience and feel intimidated by the age group and curriculum. Do I suck it up and try it out to preserve my tenure, or look for another elementary job and start over?
