Thank you Delta

I booked a flight for myself & my 2 teenage boys to Germany a couple months ago. Delta changed the flight schedule, which meant I had 50 minutes from my connection (CAE) in ATL from landing time to departing time. A little tight for missing an 9 hour flight to Europe.

Delta has at least half a dozen CAE to ATL flights, so I thought to myself, no biggie, just go change to an earlier flight... Website quoted +$445 per passenger for the same 36 minute flight, just at a different time.

Called the Diamond Medallion line, agent saw why -- The flight change was deemed "not impacting" so no discounts/help... but she got it done anyways. Agent had to pull in a supervisor for permission, but they moved it at no charge.

I'm not sure what to make of Delta's dynamic pricing, but glad the agent was able to overcome it.

My only question: This is the receipt they sent me. What's the $1,000 YR surcharge? I think Delta just gave me an eCredit to off set the price change? Nothing hit my credit card.
