RSD 2026 Was it just me….???
It might just be me, but Record Store Day 2026 felt noticeably underwhelming this year. None of the releases really stood out or gave me that “must-have” feeling, but out of tradition, I still showed up. What made it worse, though, was the atmosphere in line. I saw some of the most frustrating behavior I’ve ever experienced at RSD. People dropping off chairs at midnight to hold their spot, disappearing for hours, then coming back right before opening like nothing happened. At one point, someone even moved another person’s chair, which sparked a whole scene. There may not be official rules around that kind of thing, but it definitely added to an already disappointing experience and honestly, that was just a small part of everything that went wrong this year.
