Hey guys we are non-electrical, mechanical and computer engineering students, it's our first time taking part in rocketry competition. We are in time crunch, and we have purchased blue raven primary flight computer. For SRAD flight computer I tried learning PCB design and it's really complicated. I am stuck at the schematic design and even using AI for this didn't work properly. I was wondering if anyone is willing to share their rocketry PCB design which will work great for 5K ft apogee, If you have a designed which you have used in flight before successfully that would be great. We decided to get these sensors -
Main MCU: Teensy 4.1 (Primary flight loop/logging)
IMU: BNO085 (Orientation/High-frequency flight data)
Altimeter: MS5611-01BA03 (High-precision barometer)
GPS: Ublox NEO-M8N
Radio: RYLR998 (LoRa module for long-range telemetry)
Recovery/Pyro: IRLZ44N MOSFETs driven by TC4427 Gate DriversMain MCU: Teensy 4.1 (Primary flight loop/logging
Hey everyone, Our student team is designing a custom flight computer for an upcoming 5,000 ft SRAD sounding rocket launch. we have purchased blue raven as primary flight computer and building our own SRAD flight computer. We do not have mechanical, software or electrical background.
I’m looking for some review on our sensor selection
The Stack:
Main MCU: Teensy 4.1 (Primary flight loop/logging)
Comms MCU: ESP32-WROOM-32E (WiFi/BLE for pad side config & telemetry bridge)
IMU: BNO085 (Orientation/High-frequency flight data)
Altimeter: MS5611-01BA03 (High-precision barometer)
GPS: Ublox NEO-M8N
Radio: RYLR998 (LoRa module for long-range telemetry)
Recovery/Pyro: IRLZ44N MOSFETs driven by TC4427 Gate Drivers
also have been given a task to design the pcb, any suggestions on how to start? Im a total beginner.
Hey guys I am a college student and my mom is giving me 3k rupees/month to invest. What is your opinion on these funds? Any suggestions of other funds and which one to replace?
