I'm gearing up for a short campaign using Cairn Barebones where the characters are going to be normal humans from the 1980s who end up getting sucked into a crazy adventure.

I wanted to see if anyone had some ideas to throw into a bucket with me for d(arbitrary amount) of 80s careers as Cairn backgrounds. This also obviously edges into Electric Bastionland territory as I think the careers make a lot of sense as "failed careers".

I'm trying to at least get career -> gear (3 things, 1 weapon) -> question 1 -> question 2. I'll flesh out the d6 answers later.

So far I have:

1. Postal Worker -> Slip-resistant shoes, mailbag (1 free slot for papers or letters), roll of packing tape, letter opener (d6) -> What department did you work in? -> What package did you take with you when you left? (That's a felony!)
2. Derby Skater -> Roller skates, full set of pads (1 armor), instant ice pack (like a bandage, 3 uses) -> What was your derby role? -> What got you banned from competition?
