Mid process NWOHR>NWHR
Hi! This has been super helpful to figure out what I need as an American Born Taiwanese. I’m very lucky that I have a very simple situation compared to what I’ve of read. My parents have an active household registration and are going with me to Taiwan to finalize the last steps.
Current status: Taiwanese passport ✔️, FBI background check (authorizated by TECRO DC) ✔️
Next Step: I leave for Taiwan next week to complete my health certificate (I do have the health certificate completed by my PCP in the U.S. but didn’t have time to go to TECO route for authorization. I’m hoping Taiwan doctor can review and accept test results and maybe provide Health Certificate 😅 if not MacKay for screening). Applying for permanent resident in Taiwan, then registration for HHR and new passport to complete the whole thing there.
I will be in Taipei for about 3 weeks and will update as things happen. Also if anyone is around and wants to meet up to hangout reach out!
