VoxDMR: A new Brandmeister DMR app for Windows/Linux
I've been working on VoxDMR, a desktop hotspot-less DMR client. It connects to Brandmeister over the Rewind protocol, captures audio from your mic, encodes AMBE+2, and TX/RXs to a talkgroup, same idea as DroidStar / BlueDV.
What it does:
- Connects to a Brandmeister master, picks a TG, PTT and you're on the air
- Plays back received audio through your default output
- Built-in TOT (time-out timer), level meter, basic UI in egui
- Windows / Linux
The vocoder situation:
No firmware ships in the binary. On first launch you get a setup card that fetches the two firmware files (D002.032.bin from md380.org, d02032-core.img from the upstream md380_vocoder_dynarmic repo) directly to your machine, SHA-256 verified. Nothing proxied through me. If you can't reach those URLs you can point it at local copies.

Happy to hear feedback, especially from anyone who's wrestled with AMBE on desktop before. 73!
