I bought Bose QC headphones for over $300–super high-quality from the ANC, app interface, start-up sound, features, etc.

But the "device connected," "battery at 90 percent," and "low battery" alerts sound like trash!

Why go through so much effort to create a high quality product just to skimp out on the alerts you have to hear every time you turn them on?

My JBL speaker has the same issue - "Bluetooth device connected" has the same sound quality of the incomprehensible speakers in a subway station. 🤦

Specifically wondering about classical antiquity!

Here are some examples I’ve seen in other cities:

- Telling teenagers to get out of the handicap seats to let a pregnant woman sit down

- Smacking a lit cigarette from someone’s hand

- Shoving men away from woman when they are being predatory

In Chicago, people just stand and stare when they see something wrong on the train, and it seems to normalize and validate some of this behavior.

I full on saw a man touch and harass a young woman on the train, and the 5-6 other men around her just stood there and watched!
