Hi all!

In the beginning of June i'm planning to travel from Sofia to Craiova. However, i am a bit worried about possible delays in between. The whole trip will look like this:

7:15 Sofia Sever → 8:47 Mezdra

18 min transfer time

9:05 mezdra → 12:20 Vidin

40 min transfer time

13:00 vidin → 16:13 Craiova

i am a bit concerned that the time in between trains will be too short. I have no experience with Bulgarian trains so no idea about their punctuality. Is this something to be worried about or should i be fine?

Also, how exactly does it work with making reservations? From what i read i should make train reservations at a ticket office. So for example, could i go to the ticket office in Sofia the day before the trip and make a reservation for all 3 trains? Or do i have to do this at the departing station?

Hi All,

I am planning on traveling from Sofia to Craiova by train, but i am a bit worried about making the connections. I will have to switch trains twice, i will have about 15 mins to switch in Mezdra and about 40 mins to switch in Vidin. Will this be enough time? I have no experience with Bulgarian trains so no idea about their punctuality.

Also, how exactly does it work with making seat reservations? As far as i read i can do this at the train station, so for example could i go to Sofia Sever 1 day before the trip and make a reservation for all 3 trains? Thanks in advance for your help!
