EMD Appreciation post.

Today's speech from the topnotcher was a very important narrative for everyone.

Napaluha rin ako kaunti; 'di man retaker, I took a pause from taking the October Boards, and similar yung experience na kakaibang lungkot din kapag nakikita mong suma-success na ang mga kaibigan or ka-batch mo.

Kudos kay Dr. Parchaso!

Yung isang tumatak sakin while listening to his speech is yung memories ko of the EMD lecturers like Doc Hena and Doc Toff, always, ALWAYS taking the time to share stories of the retakers enrolled under expert -- mapa 6th or 11th take na, and how much they always pray for their success (also testament to this is the post about Dr. Fujie!).

Kitang kita talaga how invested they are, and how much PRIDE they have kapag ang retakers, sa Expert nakakapasa. This is not to say naman na hindi celebrated ang top notchers from EMD. It's just so refreshing to see a review center na diverse walks of life, diverse experiences, naalagaan and alam mong rooting for you talaga.

Trusting EMD was so worth it.

I initially aimed to take the boards last October, pero hindi kinaya dahil sa ibang obligations in my sport/co-curriculars, lagi akong out of country dahil nagte-train, coach, and judge ng mga kabataan (competitive debating), so nalunod na talaga sa materials. I was enrolled in another RC noon, pero given that their structure is veryyyyyy strict and loaded, hindi naging okay, and it's not a match for my personality rin. So when I decided to pause and re-strategize for March, I enrolled in EMD for a change of pace. Proven na rin, kasi my sister enrolled din before and passed on her first take.

And now, pasado na rin! Still in disbelief! People said na my scores are good, and honestly, I felt really at ease and calm during the boards. I attribute it to how well EMD prepared me mindset-wise ("kaya mo yan. hinga."), but also the quality of the lectures and the final coaching really shaped how I attacked the boards. Talagang piniga how to THINK about the questions. I found it actually fun to rationalize and get the logic out of the questions during the boards because of the training EMD provided.

Also, I knew for a fact na I heavily struggled with the basic sciences, coming from a modular/OSI curriculum school. I dreaded biochemistry talaga, as in FEARED! Kala ko weakest subject ko siya at the start of review. Pero the way na inexplain siya in Expert, made me love studying for it so muchhhhh. It didn't have to be difficult!

The wingman approach also helped me massively. I never thrived in very rigid study schedules, as someone who suffered from mental health issues. Kaya during boards review, need ko talaga na maging attuned sa needs ng katawan at isip, kasi yun lang ang sustainable and healthy. Rest talaga kung rest. Lo and behold, the wingman structure ng Expert allowed me so much flexibility sa materials, tipong naka-recover ako sa 3-subject backlog, and even allowed me to browse other materials like BRS and textbooks!

Kaya sobrang thank you, EMD! Naging doktor akong tuluyan dahil sa tulong ninyo!
