not technically a machine question but motorized cabinet question. i got this vintage sewing machine and cabinet for free off facebook marketplace last week and finally got the time to set it up. the cabinet was working perfectly, raising and lowering the machine as it's supposed to, rather noisily but working. now it's stuck. the listing had next to no details, but thanks to google lens i know it's some model of the singer space saving cabinet. i could only find one picture of this exact cabinet but it was just a facebook post asking if they should paint it. it does have an extra piece as shown in the third picture. anyone know what to do? it's covering a portion of my bed so i'd like to get it fixed tonight if possible, any and all advice is appreciated!
