Hey all!

So I’m on Kit 6…which is bupropion, metformin and topiramate + B12

Overall everything was working well, no GI side effects however I did notice some ringing in my ears (tinnitus) occasionally and immediately weaned myself off the bupropion as I read this could become permanent.

Reached out to the care team and inquired about swapping to a kit with naltrexone as I have recently left a career in bartending and thought dropping the bupropion and switching to that would 1) prevent the tinnitus and 2) help with the sugar and alcohol cravings since I’m so used to being around cocktails all the time through work and social life.

HERS will not prescribe naltrexone without bupropion I was told. Ok no biggie, I’ll ask my PCP. I asked to be swapped to Kit 5 which is the same as 6 WITHOUT the bupropion ON MY REFILL DATE IN JULY.

GOOD NEWS! They approved it and sent out a refill at no charge

BAD NEWS! They sent it out immediately and I have since moved and that refill is now going to my old address

TL;DR If you need to swap a med, definitely ask them, especially if you are looking to drop a medication or make a lateral move. They will likely swap you for free to keep you as a customer. However, make sure all your ducks are in a row because they will apparently do it ASAP even if it wasn’t what you discussed

Hi everyone! I’m currently on Kit 6 and honestly, everything seems to be working well. Working out and eating less and I’ve lost about 9 lbs so far.

I have noticed that when I’m going to bed and it’s super quiet, I feel like I’m hearing a faint ringing in my ears so I stopped the bupropion. I was terrified the tinnitus was going to be permanent or get worse.

Just wondering if anyone else experienced this and what Hers swapped them to, if anything? I haven’t reached out to them as of yet but was planning to next week. Thanks for your help!
