An elderly couple booked my place a few months ago. They never showed. A week after, their son msged me on Airbnb saying that his parents thought they had cancelled the stay, however there was no record of any cancellation. He admitted there is no record of the cancellation, and said his parents are elderly and not super familiar/comfortable with technology and may not have properly cancelled or clicked submit. His message was worded kindly and it didn’t come off as entitled. He is requesting a full or even a partial refund.
What would you do?
On one hand I feel bad, but on the other hand I’m losing money if I don’t stick to my policy
