Employee determined to "grind" - Not in my office!!!

We don't have emergencies, here. The work is not urgent. We do nice work helping the community. It's great! I have spent a lot of time in miserable industries working for abusive bosses, and I have spent more than a decade building a compassionate, family friendly culture.

Long story short, I have a very productive employee who loves to work like there's a gun to her head, and expects the rest of us to be the same way. I say absolutely not. She knows we're the kind of place she can (and does) call in any time if her kid or her dog gets sick, and vacation requests are freely granted. Not a grind!

I am at wits end. We had our big event last week, and I thought she would calm down (after six horrible months leading up to it) when it was over, but the next day she was calling me on her day off demanding to know when we would meet to discuss the event. (Uh, we will do it during work hours, chill out.)

This is culture fit stuff. If she insists on making life miserable just because she has a belief system that life is meant to be miserable, I am not going to work with her, AND I DO NOT HAVE TO! But I would rather have her here.

Ideas?

Using someone's name as a slur, how does it work?

Everyone recognizes it, and it is almost impossible to call out. Momma used to say "don't say my name in italics!"

Different from how a salesperson or someone trying to romance you uses name repetition.

More like a coworker saying "I don't have that information, BOB," and everyone understands from the tone that Bob is an insufferable idiot whose stupidity causes physical pain to those in his proximity.

Really top tier head game, because how are you gonna get mad at someone for saying your name? That's what names are for.

Give me a tool to call this nastiness out. Please. Do we just do it right back to them in real time? "Thank you, LARRY."

Whatcha got?

Cat fends off burglar in short story, cat mystery anthology - almost definitely not not Lillian Jackson Braun

Please help me if you can! It's a short story in an anthology of cat related mysteries. It might even have been called Mystery Cats. There might have been stories by LJB in the book but I am pretty sure this was not by her.

The story I am trying to find features a pampered Siamese cat living in an opulent townhouse that the loving couple who "owns" him has decorated around his coloring. They have fabulous parties, and the cat is the only one to notice a stranger attending one party. A few days later, the stranger returns and attempts to rob the place while the human couple is out, but the cat fights him off and chases him away.

Anybody?

Mature professional lady here, I try to dress "classic with a little edge." Minimalist but not too strict on the capsule. What jeans do I need for a classic, rounded wardrobe? This is weekday clothes, I don't get into the club so much these days. Light, dark, wide, narrow? I don't think I need distressed, we'll call that category "beach clothes." So what kind of jeans do I get?
