Wheel lateral play

Have DT Swiss wheels (370 hybrid hub) on a very low KM bike (less than 300km, only a couple months old) and have developed some small lateral play in the rear wheel, its enough to feel and is best seen with the disc movement.

Everything is torqued to spec, and there is no wear on the through axle, though when the wheel is off, it feels like the axle is like a smidge too small? Like there is a much tolerance of play between the through axle and inner bearings/ bushings.

After a quick search, this looks like a somewhat common issue with these hubs? I’m wondering if I should ignore it until it gets worse, warranty it (and maybe have same issue again) or just get a new wheel for the rear and keep this one as a spare?

This isn’t normal, right? I’m sure my old wheel (Wingman and Yama hubs) never developed any play after years of abuse.

Do I expect too much out of my bike's drive train/ am I abusing it too hard?

Ok, so this is a bit of a noob question, but I have to ask it.
Im a sponsored EMTB rider, and I do alright (regularly on podium/ state DH champion), but I haven't been riding that long (less than 3 years), and bypassed a lot of the simpler/ basic knowledge of riding. I used to race motocross/ enduro back in the day, so being behind bars isn't new, pedalling is.

Im concerned I'm too hard on the gears/ drivetrain, especially when its an EMTB, or, maybe Im expecting too much from it, leading to it to fail. My new bike, about (has done about 300km) has Sram Eagle 90 T Type transmission, and is already skipping teeth pretty bad under medium load when changing gears (like a facing start on flat ground, or changing gears when racing). This felt amazing out of the box and new, but since I fear I have fouled it. Doing gear changes under load, and being in too high of a gear starting a climb when reaching the bottom of a descent (so going from high gear to low gear under strain), have I stretched my chain or burred my gears in under 300km of riding?
At the last Gravity Enduro Race, I noticed my gears skipping a lot - is it normal to skip a tooth or two when changing gears or am I being way to rough on it/ or have I damaged things from riding inappropriately?
Here to learn - thanks for any input. Im about to go measure my chain and perhaps through a new chain on and re-check my derailleur setup/ limits.
