CJ's Skatepark needs help. Toddlers skating program.

Technically not located in Etobicoke but close enough for parents to bring their kids there.

Ok so CJs Indoor Skate Park needs help to survive and offer an awesome place for everyone to enjoy.

Because rent increase, they are about to cancel toddlers class and need a few more participants to keep it on.

They are amazing guys and I wanted to spread the word that they need help.

Here is the full email from them:

"Good Day & happy Easter & Passover weekend from CJ’s Skatepark to our Toddler Program families and all CJ’s clients, friends & supporters,

It’s really difficult to write this message, and we truly wish we had better news to share.

As of April 1st, our rent has gone up significantly, and it has put a serious strain on our ability to keep programs running the way we have been. We are doing everything we can behind the scenes cutting costs ,reduce staff, raising prices, fundraising ,exploring every option, creating more group lesson programs and even beginning to look for a new facility but the reality is, things are very uncertain right now.

We’ve already had to make the tough decision to cancel our Wednesday toddler program, and it breaks our hearts to say that the 10:00 AM toddler session is now also at risk. This program means so much to us and to the families who attend, but with current funding challenges and low participation, we may not be able to continue as we need more participation during the week and when the park sits empty from 6am-3pm most days.

We truly need your help. If we can reach at least 6 toddlers consistently over the next couple of weeks, we have a chance to keep this program going. Without that support we will have the difficult decision to cancel it altogether.

This is not something we want to do. CJ’s has always been about community, and seeing these little ones grow, play, and build confidence here means everything to us.

I have always said in this crazy world we all live in it’s not only about the Skateboarding, Scootering, Inline, Roller Skating those are simply the vehicles we use to deliver and create empowerment, self-esteem, success, and to most they call it their “Happy Place” with no judgement , no barrier to entry and a place where it doesn’t matter your religion, race, gender, financial (we have funding for those who can’t afford) whether you have a cognitive or physical disability or any other social constraints at CJ’s everyone is welcome 😊(please read & Share the letter attached from Dr. Kenny Handelman)

If you’re able to attend, spread the word, or support in any way, it would make a real difference right now. For those who are in a position to help further, donations to our foundation are deeply appreciated, and tax receipts can be provided. If you know of any foundations, organizations, or sponsors who may be interested in supporting community programs like ours, we would be incredibly grateful for any connections or introductions. We will be holding several online auctions so anything you may have to donate would be appreciated as well please support our summer camps they are the best!!.

Thank you so much for being part of our community and for standing with us during this incredibly tough time.

With appreciation,

CJ’s Skatepark Team

Thank You & make it a Great Day!
