60km, 25h, alas not enough for gold but at least the towns are frog 🐸
(Yes, I am also a bit miffed I didn’t plan those larger links better w more keys)
(Efficiency was not key here, I was just stubbornly walking a lot in my free hours on rest days)

So I’m around Banff for another few weeks (currently in Lake Louise) before needing to head west to *a ranch (Green lake north of kamloops) and then back later end of May.
Seems like the Google route is via golden / glacier NP. But going via Jasper up icefields only adds 40mins. Trying to decide on the better route (I’ll be stopping overnight both ways). Have a big camera lens with me as hoping for wildlife (other than just more birds!).
I was also considering doing icefields and back as a day trip tomorrow since I’m already at LL and weather seems nice on my rest day. Otherwise I’ll just potter around here.
Any pros/cons to those routes / is it worth going via glacier / just go icefields for the journey and skip the day trip ? Already overthinking this. Many thanks!
