Plant Banner - Angels of Darkness

I’m looking for some advice on how to best score Plant Banner with Angels of Death in Kill Team.

From what I’ve seen, this seems to be a popular Tac Op for AoD and other elite teams into a lot of matchups, but I’ve been struggling to actually score it consistently. In practice, I usually end up falling back on Dominate, and sometimes Rout, because Plant Banner feels awkward to pull off.

For background, I’ve got a couple dozen games under my belt and I’m currently playing in a narrative campaign with this roster:

- Intercessor Sergeant with Stalker Bolt Rifle and Power Sword

- Grenadier

- Intercessor Gunner with Stalker Bolt Rifle

- Phobos Eliminator

- Intercessor Warrior with Bolt Rifle

- Assault Intercessor Warrior

My Chapter Tactics are:

- Resolute

- Sharpshooter

I know this is not a finely tuned or fully optimized list, and I realize the Intercessor Sergeant is not the strongest choice, but that is part of the narrative campaign. The Chapter Tactics felt like a good fit for Dark Angels and their Grim Resolve. A lot of the group is newer as well, so people are generally not min-maxing.

The other teams in the campaign are:

- Legionaries (Fallen)

- Nemesis Claw (Bile's Creations)

- Stealth Suits

- Navy Breachers

- Ork Wreckas

I’d be really interested in hearing from people who have had success with Plant Banner on elite teams, especially AoD.

A few things I’d love input on:

- When do you choose Plant Banner over Dominate or Rout?

- Which operative usually carries the plan for you?

- Are there certain matchups where Plant Banner is much better or much worse?

- How aggressive do you need to be with board control to make it realistic?

I feel like I understand why the Tac Op is supposed to be good, but on the table I have a hard time actually scoring it without overexposing one of my few operatives.

Would appreciate any advice, especially from people who’ve played AoD or other elite teams into similar matchups.
