Should I revise down system size?

EDIT: keeping it as is!

Been working on the solar project for some time, got the funds and approvals, system size based on our situation- which is about to change

4 adults, 2 children, 1x EV, gas infinity for water. Use 37kw per day on average. Car charges overnight on an EV plan.

System: 15kw array, 10kw inverter, gateway and 9kw battery.

Within a few months, hot water heat pump (either rinnai hydraheat 340l or haier monoblock 330l)

What’s changing - 2 adults moving out of home. Don’t know entire impact on usage.

Should I opt for a smaller system? Ie reduce panels and increase battery

I had planned on adding battery anyway in a year or so.

I liked idea of panel array being something I do once being highest labour cost.

Had planned system to take advantage of 10kw export too

Evnex charger with Solar and Battery

Solar in my house is approved, Not yet installed though. The only thing that confuses me a little bit is managing the EV charger

System will be a sigenergy inverter with a 9kw battery. I have an EVnex smart charger already.

Do i need to add anything in (like shelly device etc) to ensure I can manage car charging only after battery is full (and not use battery)

car currently charges overnight on a schedule (13c rate) but during the day, if the car is home and plugged in, It would be good to charge the car from extra solar, but only if the battery is full. I woudnt want the car to use the battery either

Is this somethign the EVnex/sigenergy inverter can do by default, or do i need to something smarter like ensure the Evnex is wired into the smart port or with a shelly device

Im sure the installer will know how to set it up, But I am just trying to get my own head around it

the buy back rate is very similar to night rate, so i guess also - it would need to be excess AFTER exporting at max and battery is full :)

System will be a 15kw array with 9kw battery. Want the battery to be available for evening peak time and the car to be able to be plugged in any time its home

Has anyone in wellington recently had luck having Wellington Electricity approve 10kw export?

Come 11 May, will they actually do it, or get around it using the "Flexible approach" workaround
